Thanks for stopping by for more information. We assume you probably have a coupon from one of our Loyalty Program Partners, and you have some questions. The answer to your first question is YES – the Gift Coupon you have entitles you to a completely FREE photo session, including a completely FREE 14 by 11 inch print.

To have your photo taken, you must book an appointment in advance, and we are booking sessions for Friday evenings and all day Saturdays.

Please call us at 613.293.3437 by the expiry date shown on your coupon. The sooner you call, the better your choice of dates and times will be.

What is your style?

The focus of my studio work is fine art portraiture – which simply means I create portraits that are intended to hang on your walls and look incredible for years to come. During a photo session, our goal is to capture one or two stunning moments that we can then enlarge, frame, and hang in a special place in your home. This is not your typical family portrait session or school photo, so we are not dealing with small prints, multiple print packages, or digital images. As I mentioned, we are focused on capturing one or two moments worthy of framing and hanging in your home.

Can I see some expamples?

All of the photos you see on this website were taken by me. With the exception of two models I used when we first opened, all of the subjects are clients that came through the studio with Gift Coupons like you have. Most of our web pages have at least a few photos showing.

So this is really free?

Yes, this is a completely FREE session and print that we are offering you. If you really love the photos we capture, then we will be happy to show you some larger sizes and framing options, but there will be no pressure and there is no obligation. This REALLY is a free gift to you.

How are the prints finished?

Our standard finishing is a lustre print from a professional lab on archival paper, mounted on gatorboard, and sprayed with a laminate finish. The resulting product is bright and beautiful, and designed to last for years. It does not need glass, and will never bend nor warp.

If you really love your image and would like more of a classical painted look, then you may be interested in our signature product, which is a hand-painted version of your digital image. The image is first printed on canvas and then entirely hand-painted by an artist. The result is truly stunning and it will be the centerpiece of whatever room you hang it in.

Do you offer frames as well?

Yes, we offer a limited number of frames, which have been carefully chosen to match our style. For the lustre laminate prints, a black, leather-wrapped frame is available, and for the classic hand-painted finish, we offer two more traditional gold, custom made frames.

Our framed products are delivered “ready to hang”, and your framed investment is protected by an unconditional, lifetime guarantee.

Can we bring our pets?

While we are not really set up to handle pets, we realize that some of you have pets that are very much a part of the family, and we would be happy to try to accommodate them for you. We would expect that you will be able to control your pet so that it can participate in the photo session, and that there would be no major disruption to the work at hand.

Who can I bring (or send)?

The coupon is a gift to you personally, thanking you for supporting our Loyalty Program Partner. As such it is intended to reward you, and it is not transferable. You may bring a spouse or your immediate family (your children), but the program is not intended to extend to include your children, their spouses, and their children, for instance. The logistics of handling this are simply beyond what we can do in a 90 minute session. We would be happy to discuss this further with you and offer alternatives to include extended families.

What should I wear?

Fine art photo sessions are generally fairly formal affairs, and we encourage you to “dress up” for the occasion.

Ladies should wear dresses, and if you have a long, formal gown you want to wear – all the better. Solid colors will be best to work with, and make-up and hair should be done to complete the look. If you want to bring a change of dresses, that will be fine, as long as we can work it into the schedule. If you are having trouble deciding, I usually suggest that you bring one dress that you love wearing, and one that your husband/boyfriend loves to see you in. We’ll be sure to keep someone happy that way.

We don’t normally do much with themes or props, but if the photo session is for someone with a particular calling – perhaps a dancer or a debutante – please discuss with me beforehand so we can have some posing ideas ready to work with.

Shirt and tie and a suit always looks great on a man, and we recommend a dark color suit with a white shirt.

If I do love my photo and want a larger size, will there be any deals?

Yes, there will be special deals on larger sizes that will only be available during the review after your session.

What if I have to cancel?

Please try to give us as much notice as possible so we can attempt to fill your spot. We will do our best to reschedule you as soon as possible, but as you can imagine, our program is quite popular and you may need to wait for a while.

Anything else I need to know?

Just come relaxed. We will make this as painless as possible, and maybe even have a little fun along the way.
