Christmas can’t be too far away when the Carleton Place Town Singers make their annual appearance at St. Andrew’s Church for their Christmas Memories Concert. Both concerts (December 4th and 6th) were sold-out for this 90+ member community group, and this year’s fans did not go home disappointed.
The concerts opened with unique candle-lit processions of singers, entering from the back of the church and singing their way to the front. There were traditional Christmas songs, some more contemporary tunes, a couple of special performances, and even sing-alongs for the crowd.
This marked the 10th year for the Town Singers, and under the musical direction of Kristine MacLaren, they brought Christmas to Carleton Place with standing ovations.
