Team Photos

Team Photos are memories. As simple as that. For the parents, relatives, friends, and the players themselves. And perhaps even for a few fans :-)

What We Do

While the details may vary a bit depending on the season, the specifics of the sport, or the particular venues, we can generally include the following:

• a meeting or discussion with team organizers to understand the specifics what is required, and what generally works for your sport
• we can often include a photo shoot at a scheduled game, in order to get some good action photos
• a formal team photo
• two or three individual photos of each player, again depending on the sport and the facilities available
• a web site for people to choose and order photos from
• a wide selection of photo products, such as combo photos (team and player), trader cards, calendars, magazine covers, etc.
• professional printing from a local Ottawa print service
• fast turnaround (by mail)

What We Ask

Not much really...

• We ask for a minimum $10 commitment for each player, paid prior to the scheduled shoot. Collecting the fees from the parents or players should be the responsibility of the team.
• In return for the initial payment, we will provide a $15 discount on the first order, and a 20% discount on subsequent orders over $50.
• We need co-operation in setting a date, having everyone ready for photos, and making the necessary time and facilities available for photos.
• We request releases - since the team photos and most action photos are likely to have more than one player in them, we should really have releases from the parents allowing us to sell photos including their children to other parents. We do NOT sell the photos we take to anyone other than those involved or related to the teams. And while we may occasionally use them for our own portfolio purposes, we are NOT asking for a blanket release for the photos. Better safe than sorry.

Why Us?

I am a local (Carleton Place) photographer with lots of sports experience, and I love taking pictures of people. I am the team photographer for the Carleton Place Junior A Canadians hockey team, and the Ottawa Fat Cats semi-pro baseball team. I shot a couple of the local Carleton Place Minor Hockey Association teams this past winter, and would love to expand my portfolio with any other local teams.
